An axle box assembly (also called as “journal box assembly”) is an important mechnical part on each end of the axles in locomotives. Some axlebox assembly contains an axle box body, an axlebox cover, an axle box press cover, an axlebox rear cover, and so on. In some railway applications, outer spring coils and innter spring coils, as an axle box spring set, are sat on an axlebox to absorb the shocks from locomotives.
