In certain railway applications, locomotive headlamps are consisted of lighting source (e.g. halogen bulbs) and lamp reflector (glass or mirror) which are separately from each other. It is mainly made from glass, which is different from sealed beams. Many PAR lamps are sealed beams, with a parabolic reflector with a smooth aluminium surface, one or more filaments (incandescent, halogen, LED, etc.), and a glass or plastic lens sealed permanently together as a unit.
The surface of the glass reflectors or mirror reflectors is processed by precision CNC molding and polishing, and coated with a hard optical film. The product has good spot uniformity and excellent optical performance.
The main diameters of the mirror reflectors include 140mm, 160mm, 178mm, 205mm, 230mm, 300mm, etc.
