An electric windscreen wiper, windshield wiper or wiper blade is an important railway device used to remove rain, snow, ice, washer fluid, water, or debris from the front windows of diesel locomotives, electric locomotives, DMU’s, EMU’s, high-speed trains, metros (subways), urban light railways, etc. An electric windscreen wiper is generally consisted of a metal wiper arm, a rubber wiper blade, a wiper electric motor, certain mechanism attached thereof, a control switch, and electric wires, etc. The metal wiper arm includes one end pivots and the other end attaching to the rubber wiper blade. The wiper arm is normally powered by the electric motor.
RISL can supply more than 40 different types of electric windscreen wipers. The voltage of the electric motors can range from 24VDC to 110VDC, especially 24VDC, 74VDC and 110VDC are quite common. The power range can be from 40W to 150W. The length of the wiper arms can be from 250mm to 1,200mm. The length of the wiper blades can range from 300mm to 900mm. The swing angle can all be customized. RISL’s electric wipers have a wide range of applications, including but not limited to DMU, EMU, main line locomotives, shunting locomotives, urban light rail, subway, etc., not only in Chinese railway vehicles, but also in foreign railway rolling stocks.
Our electric wipers are mainly supplied to railway bureaus and locomotive manufacturing plants. Equipped on locomotives, our electric wipers have been exported to a great number of countries and regions, including but not limited to North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, etc.
