Traction motors are primary electrical components for locomotives. ZD126C traction motor expands its power based on the ZQDR-310 traction motor, and it is an update motor which is mainly used in narrow gauge (or, meter gauge, 1,067 mm) locomotives.
This Chinese locomotive traction motor has the good features: large torque under constant power, wide range adjust speed, good commutation and compatibility. It is the most powerful motor used on narrow gauge locomotives made and exported by China to many countries.
